Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hello Fetchworld. We are going to be spending a couple of weeks in the Peaks this summer. Although it's on our doorstep, we don't go very often so other than Chatsworth, Bakewell, and the Tissington Trail, I don't know it at all. What would you recommend for a family with 2 teens? One is quite active and outdoorsy, the other definitely isn't. Thanks :)

First thing you need to know is it’s the Peak; not the Peaks ;-)

Ok. I call the Lake District the Lakes and assumed it was the same. I stand corrected :-o

The joke is there’s barely a Peak as such to the Peak never mind several. From memory the highest part of the disctrict is a God forsaken morass on Kinder

We live just beyond the northern edge- near Black Hill. I think it's a *it's really hilly here, so what must the Peak District be like* thing!
