For Christmas 2008 I got an Archers dictionary, it was my joint bestest and most favourite Christmas pressy ever.
@ Jen, Yes, Pip Archer. She has become more sanctemonious (cant spell) than ever...worse than when she did the whole "I'm not eating anything that comes from more than 5 miles away"

I used to hate the Archers. Even just the "jolly" theme tune would set my teeth on edge..But thing is, it's starting to seep in and I now find myself getting involved...!

I always liked Sharon too - the naughty single mum who had Clive Horrobin's child. She then became the late John(squashed by a tractor) Archer's "bit of rough", making a refreshing change from the whingeing Hayley, nicely outing the worthy Pat as not being all that left wing and liberal after all and showing up many of Ambridge's petty prejudices

Yes, Jude is Pip's boyfriend. I don't like either of them so I'm happy to have them inflict themselves on each other. (Sorry JenL, that'a appalling English but I can't think how to correct it!)

There's nothing wrong with the English, Tikka Nice sentences; perfectly understandable. I know a lot about how things are structured in English and why they are the way they are, which I suppose makes me a useful person to know if you ever find yourself on the sharp end of a parsing emergency, but I see no point in being precious about it and I've yet to be called out in the dead of night to save the grammatical world I'm happy being a commentator rather than a custodian.

I listened yesterday, and was interested to see Helen now thinks she's pregnant?
and the new Milkman Harry is looking to get into Fallons knickers

I've heard quite enough of Helen's ovulation stimulants thank you very much. She's a right silly mare.
