But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. We are probably going to be on holiday then unfortunately. We don't have kids either so who knows why we are going in August.

Sounds a plan John. I did a walk from Brentford to Kew (I think) after football last year, and there were some nice pubs along the river

Actually , you could just run round Griffin Park all day. There a pub in each of the 4 corners :)

Medals are a good idea. Bronze, silver and gold standard, depending on how many pubs you manage.
