Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

@HappyG(rrr) thank you 😇

The Tie Fighter blasts are coloured beams that came with the kit. I reckon they are enhanced by the background colour

Bit of progress on the Stalwart cab took @Will Crash advice and used a wash on the floor, also a bit in there to. Pleased with the messed up steering wheel as well

Thanks mate, I'm getting the hang of it aren't I! Thanks for all the advice and suggestions.

Really enjoying not just the zen of the build but the artistry of effects now.

You’re improving on every build mate and it’s evident to see 😇

I love playing with dry brushing after an oil wash….. a little bit of silver on a brush, brush off most onto a piece of cardboard and then very faintly brush onto the raised bits of floor where the paint would have been rubbed off by boots. The wash is the dirt between the raised bits.

Matt gloss on the edges of the seats highlights the worn bits….

Anyhow, enough of that. Enjoy. It looks fab

I joined a Airfix modelling Facebook group, the Stalwart is popular right now, guessing because it's new out.

I was worried about how my skills would match up. But looking at the pics people are posting I shouldn't be worried!

Each to their own etc some don't or hardly bother to paint let alone weather or add effects then there's a guy who's made one who's made his look so rusty it's about to fall apart.

Then I went and joined a Tamiya group where it looks like everyone is a pro !

Just don't call them toys!
