They were talking about the success of the reintroduction of Red Kites on R4 Today this morning. About 8.20 I think.

Having returned to work in Northamptonshire in the past year, I’ve been seeing them more than I did around 3 years ago.

I'm spoilt with red kites, over the house most days ![]() - fewer buzzards than there used to be though and I haven't been "attacked" by the grumpy one when I run under its nest yet this year - I hope they're OK. |

No red kites for me this year unless I manage to get my running distance up to about 20 miles 😃 They haven't reached the North Wales coast yet. Sat in the garden being as still as possible getting an inordinate amount of pleasure watching the antics of the starling fledglings. |

Youngest got a good shot of one of the Cambridge peregrine pair yesterday - there’s 3 chicks in the nest but they didn’t see them although they could certainly hear them! |

Great picture I saw peregrines regularly in the past at a natural nest site ie not urban building. Late May was always a good time to go because the young would be a decent size and demanding in terms of food. The adult birds are very vocal and a returning adult with food always a highlight |

Looks like crow for lunch in Salisbury. Parent just flew in with a large black crow (probably), looked bigger than Bruce, or Fiona, whichever one it was. salisburycathedral.org.uk |
