Each used different logic, Powell on the "we're full and we can't take any more of these bloody foreigners taking our jobs" line and Benn on the "we're handing our democratic process over to unelected bureaucrats in Brussels" line. Sounds just like today actually or should I say plus ca change.........

We should restrict them to only using a proportion of letters commensurate with the number of words in their own language.

I wonder if the government would put some mutual arrangement in place whereby expat Brits sent home to the UK get exchanged for expat Euros living in the UK? It would also be very interesting to see the country collapse without us. My plan B is to move to Southern Italy. I can run my business from there, but would need the time and opportunity to liquidate and sell assets etc etc SIGH! I just hope the uneducated bigoted masses are outnumbered...
