We tend to use Nexgard but only infrequently as they are indoor cats and the fosters are treated and isolated for a while before getting into the house proper.

My mum started using Frontline after being charged a fortune by the vet. Ours are house cats so have a vet prescribed meds occasionally.

Fleas can persist in a house for a good while, especially if the control on the animal is not 100% effective.

We got Bravecto spot-on from the vet, don't remember how much it was. Dab on the back of the neck. We also used a spray in the house, on furnishings & carpets - Indorex Defence Spray. That was recommended by the vet (but we bought it from Pets at Home). That cleared everything up. Moo has always been an indoor cat, but apparently you can bring fleas or eggs in from outside. I guess it's quite possible for a flea or two to hitch a ride on your trousers if you give an friendly outside cat a fuss.

We use Credelio and find it easy to administer.
When we've tried a spot-on, it's induced sulking. And a fight to get it on.

Oh yes, we get sulking. It takes a week before she will relax if there are two of us in a room with her. She's waiting for the pincer movement.
