In other news, Currys emailed me earlier in the week to advise me that I have been lucky enough to secure a PS5. I toddled into town to the store, and my unique code allowed me to pay for a console - but they couldn't advise when it will actually arrive. A few days later and I'm feeling a bit weird about this. Surely they should just have taken a deposit until such time as it became available? I'm £500 lighter with (currently) nothing to show for this except a jaunty leaflet... The wave of excitement has certainly dissipated now...
