Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Yikes. That's a bit cringeworthy!

In other news, Currys emailed me earlier in the week to advise me that I have been lucky enough to secure a PS5. I toddled into town to the store, and my unique code allowed me to pay for a console - but they couldn't advise when it will actually arrive.

A few days later and I'm feeling a bit weird about this. Surely they should just have taken a deposit until such time as it became available? I'm £500 lighter with (currently) nothing to show for this except a jaunty leaflet... The wave of excitement has certainly dissipated now...

Finished Fallout 4 this week. As with all these things it's a bit of a let down after the slog to get there.

I just couldn’t get into Fallout 4. Everything looked good in the game but I just felt that it was kind of…..bleak all the time? Much prefer Skyrim. Feels more colourful and easier to play to me.

Agreed, I can wander around Skyrim and never feel like I've run out of things to do (despite not finishing it).

Still not started Skyrim. Like The Witcher, it's one of those games I'm almost scared to start in case I come around and have lost 2 years of my life... :)

OH plays as a tank, but I end up as a stealth archer no matter how much I try.

Have you tried modded Skyrim? Some of the polished 'total conversions' can turn it into a (somewhat familiar feeling) totally new game.
