Wednesday
Road Run
•18:30 Meet at the club-house
•18:40 Club announcements, then the route master will describe the evening’s route options
•18:45 – 19:45 Run
•19:45 Cool down
For seniors only, the route master will typically provide two or three route options of 5, 6 and 7 miles. We start as a group to warm up, picking up the pace after the first mile or so. For runners unfamiliar with Maidenhead (or that route in particular) we will try to pair them with someone of similar standard. There is a wipeable wall map in the clubroom to follow.
In summer, we typically run south- or eastwards into the countryside by Holyport and Ockwells Park, or along the river Thames or the Jubilee river. The route will be decided on the day, taking into account weather and underfoot conditions on unmade paths.
In winter, routes stay within the streetlit areas of Maidenhead. The riverside by Boulters Lock is popular. Many of the routes have familiar names – the “Tesco”, the “Chipshop”, the “Thatch” runs.

Sunday
Longer run
•8:30 Meet at the club-house
•8:40 Route master will describe the morning’s route options
•8:45 Run
This is a longer run, typically 8 -11 miles, and as much as 20 miles during spring marathon training. Occasionally, we’ll meet elsewhere, such as at Windsor Great Park. However, do check before turning up because Sunday cross-country events in the winter can deplete numbers.
Routes from the club-house can reach Eton Wick, Winter Hill or Hurley.
