I am a somewhat late runner. Never thought i could do this. Decided beginning of last year as a new years resolution to start running at the age of 49 and never looked back . A good friend joined me and together we ventured out, starting with runs for as long as we could breathe lol to getting longer.
We set ourself a goal to run our first 10km and did so in Germany last May. Loved the experience and everybody cheering us on and then the touchdown at the finishing line. We were hooked lol
Only did two races last year but already have done four this year and another one coming up.
Decided now to build up to our first half marathon next year. God help us :-))
Its a great way to get rid of frustration and in my job as foster carer I should be out running every day.
