Heaton Harriers Memorial 10k - Running this race second year running. Not a course I like to run but ran this purely to officially win my 10k league. On the whole quite satisfied with outcome of race. I got a time of 41:48 and 2nd Quaker home. I estimated a 41 minute 10k time before the race so got what I expected. However I started to feel tired second half into race and slowed a little but pulled back the pace on the last mile. Weather was drizzly and cool making it ideal racing conditions, it was just a little slippy on the foot.
Finishing 2011 10k distance on a positive note, although a good minute over my pb, I have been consistent all the way through the year with 41 minute 10k's. Ones ran with effort anyways!
