A lovely sunny morning for Rememberance Sunday! I wore my poppy pin badge for the race which was well attended as always! We did 2 mins silence and sang a hymn (well some people did!) before the start! Slightly different route this year, avoided the dog leg but wasnt sorry about that!
I started off next to Kathryn C from B/Stortford and we didnt go too crazy to start! I was in 4th up until about 7 miles and had a bit of a battle with Nicky Brockbank from Springfield for the first 7 miles but managed to get past her eventually! Was really pleased to come 3rd lady overall (June Allen was 1st and a girl from Orion was 2nd). I also won the FV prize for this years Grand Prix Series and myself, Janet and Julia won the ladies team prize! So a great mornings racing!! :o)) Off to Prezzo later for a well deserved meal!!
