This year's Elloughton 10k was a strange race. I started too far back and got held up by waddlers for about 400m, only going through 1km in 4:30. I was frustrated and over compensated in the second kilometre, going through 2km in 8:38.
I was disappointed to get to half way in 22:50 amid a brief deluge. I bucked my ideas up in the second half and actually ran a significant negative split of 22:13.
I may have had half a chance of a PB if I'd not been in marathon training but the summer 10k season concludes for another year, and after the sub-44 minute run in the Jane Tomlinson 10k it has been very disappointing.

Keep going Jodie....traffic on runs is always painful. Good luck with the mara training, i hope to do one/two next year. Mark
