pleased with that. Very even paced. Set off easy 1st mile uphill 7:03, 2nd had planned another 7 to Torver but 6:41. naturally pace picked up as course levelled out 6:35 then steep down to lake 6:00. next 3m kept even at 6:45pm. 7m at av 6:40pm quicker than expected. New flat section up to Lowick was good after initial couple hills. mile 10 to 12 all at 6:49pm back along lake. showing plenty of strength to keep it up. Half Mar marker just under 90mins. 13.8m marker at 1:34 but that without Brantwood hill. Mile 13/14 getting lumpier 7:01/6:51,then horrible Brantwood hill mile 15 7:41 really tough. But by then knew time would be ok & not having to chase a specific time for this route/distance. Coming down the hill was painful, not able to stretch out hams as much after those few more miles. Couldn't pick it at bottom of hill, this is really hard. was 16mile marker before kicked a bit but a couple had come past by then.
