5x 700 m VO2 max intervals or an attempt at that
This didn't go to plan at all. I had wanted to run a mile TT but when my HR spiked in the warm up run to the track, I decided to ditch that and do 5x 800 instead. During the first interval, I already felt a bit hot but kept the pace. I made an adjustment on the fly and decided to decrease the run to 700 m so that I would have 300 m recovery jogs. That seemed to work for 2-3 reps but then I started feeling nauseous even though I wasn't even running 5k pace or faster anymore, I could only muster 10k pace under these conditions. When I finally got through the fifth interval, I jogged back to start and finish where I felt pretty faint. I laid down to recover. Not a good feeling at all, I don't think I'll do that again!
