4. Leipziger City Trail
I tried to follow Uwe today but he set off very fast so I decided to let him go after the first 2 km. My breakfast threatened to make a reappearance after the first steep hills up and especially down. I settled into a steady rhythm, started to lose a bit momentum but when Jürgen caught me, the fire in my belly returned and we chased each other the final 2 km. I didn't quite make the 50 minutes because the course is a bit long (apparently half a half). I went through 10 km in 49 minutes, happy with that on the course. Each lap, I had to jump over 4 trees. I love those obstacles and I felt faster on the narrow trails. Hitting tarmac after the longer trail bits felt like the brakes came on. I finished 57th overall, 8th lady and 3rd the toughest category, F40. Luckily, the 2 top ladies aren't in the city champs yet so their result doesn't affect the standings. I took away some points from my direct opponents there so good day out.
