Cliffe Woods 5 Mile.
Rain stopped just before the start, so the conditions were more or less ideal.
Went out aiming for around 6:10 per mile (my target was 30:50) but it was immediately clear that this was not going to be possible, dropped to 8th place after around ½ a mile. I chased hard and began to close on 5th, 6th and 7th place into the final mile. Got into a battle for 7th place, sprinting all out for the final 60 metres before narrowly losing out on the line.
Wasn't my day, on to the next one...
