Thanet 20...wow, what a race.
Started thinking I would aim for 8.30 m/m, and then spped up at 15m, but got going at slightly under 8m/m and didn't feel the need to slow down. Took 500ml coke before the start and at 12m, and a gel at 7m and 15m...but apart from that and some tough mental attitude, kept an amazing pace all the way. Was hurting at the end, and struggled to maintain the sub 8m/m pace, but had enough in the bank for it not to matter.
Could I have done another 6m at that pace...not sure, but I could have kept close to it I think.
What a run!
