Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

I love Henley Half - Really I do!!!!

Started off trying to be cautious if a little too fast, found the first 6 miles relatively easy - knowing that the hill was looming, I have never let the hill beat me before but my lack of fitness told and my breathing suffered - I had to walk a while to take deep breaths as I was getting lightheaded. Brian stayed with me from mile 5 and wouldn't let me walk too far so he got me going again up the hill with lots of positive remarks - I really would have struggled to get going again without his support.
Steady paced then for the last few miles -finished in one piece, which was my goal, cant wait to do it again next year!

I had told Aidan I would be about 1:50 - not bad guesswork

So far, so good. Done my stretches and had a massage from a lovely young man to set me on my way. All smiles at the moment.

Well done I noticed you had long socks on, was that your first with them, and how did you find them.
