In 2021 Oscar the Grouch proposed one day each year where "we unite as a community and EVERYONE records an activity of some sort - a dog walk, a run, a swim, a ride, ski if you want...".
Sadly we lost Oscar in March, so I'd like to dedicate Everyone Day to him.
Thank you for the inspiration you gave us Oscar.
You can still access the old version of this page.
I will shortly post a blog to explain some of the changes - but you can send me feedback to report problems.
Belvoir half. Great conditions - cool, but bright, with the wind only being an issue down the back lane towards Clawson. Felt good (too good?) for the first couple of miles, but the pace for the first 4 miles was never likely to be sustainable. Through 5 miles at a similar pace to Ashby 5 a few weeks back, and was just hanging on from 7 miles onwards. Mixture of going out too quick and being tired from all the miles/ultras this year so far meant that I couldn't work hard enough to get a decent pace for the last 5 miles or so. Felt very tough by the end.
Overall, a good reminder of the importance of pacing - tapering before Shakespeare will sort out the tiredness!
