Ran all way with Ben. I had planned to test myself running at marathon pace of 9 minute miles, but Ben thought he could run quicker, so I am very pleased to have maintained this pace all the way. I could have stepped it up a bit towards the end but Ben was struggling a bit Very pleasing work out. Cals 1913. HR av 145, max 157. Laps 8.21, 8.44, 8.33, 8.25, 8.16, 8.19, 8.26, 8.27, 8.34, 8.36, 8.42, 8.43, 8.47, 8.51, 8.57, 9.16. Had 2 bowls of porridge 4 hours before start of race. Ate a pack of Blocks and half a pack of Dextrose tablets. Had water every 5 K.Kathryn did 2.30.03 - over 10 minutes faster than last year.
