Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

Well...the Worksop Half, felt bloody awful at the start, convinced i had bad guts, some kind of bug after the shites and a hangover yesterday. Set off and tortured myself mentally for 5 miles, frequently considering stopping and going back, i was a mess in my head, the worst ever i think!!
At 5 miles i checked my watch to see 31:31.....hmmmm...double that gives me 63 for 10miles....another 20 min for the last 3...blimey, i could be close to my peeb....incredibly i suddenly felt fine, in fact it was as if someone had taken the weight of my body and my legs were just running along, light as a feather, this only lasted for about a mile mind!!!
This course was pretty tough, undulating only but alot of them. The 2 plus miles up hill around miles 8-11 out of Clumber Park is particularly burnt into my memory and although it was a major struggle towards the end i did manage to race the whole race, in so putting the ghost of Nottingham to bed.
My splits show that i slowed a little in miles 10 -12 but i did keep going, i think i need another half this year to get it right:-)

splits:
6:27
6:17
5:57
6:13
6:19
6:20
6:37
6:44
6:21
6:35
6:52
6:43
6:03
0:37

Pleased overall then :-)
Please wait... saving your change.
