Lasswade 10 mile road race. First 6 miles bloody hilly, then undulating after that. Up the Auchendinny hill kept thinking that my car struggles to get up it!
However, glad I did this and quite pleased with my time. I had one main target which was not to give up when it gets hard and walk (trying to work on my mental strength), and then a lesser target which was, taking into account the hilliness, if I could get round in 8 min miles that would be good. In fact it's fractionally faster than Glasgow and Dunfermline HMs last year which were pretty flat compared. So all in all happy.
Foot was very sore when I got up this morning but within about 10 mins had eased and I didn't feel it at all during the race. Feet felt very comfortable with the gel inserts. Wonder how it the foot will feel tomorrow.
