Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Notes & Comments

Edinburgh parkrun down at Cramond. Had done about 4 miles warmup with Ken and union. Glad it wasn't more! Enjoyed this event - parkruns are great, real community feeling. Cracking conditions - no wind, sunny, and so warm for nearly November. Very little wind is important here because tho it's called a parkrun it's actually an out and back along the prom - coastal winds can play a bit part. Even on this relatively still day, the prevailing westerly provided a bit of resistance on the way back. So, out at a reasonable pace, checked watch a couple of times and it said 6 min miles, which is about right for a PB. Quads felt tired, hip flexors tight. Prob the sprints at the track on Thurs night didn't help! But stuck with it. Picked a few folk off. Gave it a bit more welly from 3K, then on to 4K and dug in a bit. Passed a few more and home. Forgot to stop the Garmin, but it says 19, so it should be sub 19, about 18:5x I guess. Which is a 1 min PB on this time last year and my first sub 20 in Scotland. Yay! Nice chat with IanS and Keyring after and well done to TripletDad and IanS for marshalling. I will def do at least a couple of stints volunteering at this over the next few months. Fabulous event. So just a 1 mile PB to get for the end of the year to make it a full house! :-)G
