Notes & Comments

Regents Park 10k Summer series. I've never run this course well having raced 5 times in the past. This was the exception. 1st time under 38min having being tantalizingly stuck at low 38s since May and failed on 3 attempts. The difference today was that

-it was a bitter chilly in the air although the sun was out,

-a taper in the last few days on a normal 50 mile week, all the mile were early in the week
- dramatically more mileage in the last 6 weeks, 35 to 50 miles a week
- weight low at 11st 5 a couple lbs lower that early this year
- slowest mile was 1st at 6.17 min then each mile pretty consistent between 6.01 and 6.06.

- passing people 1st two laps and then kept up with one guy for the next lap.

I didn't eat beforehand which is unusual and has a can of Red Bull 10 mins b4 start. 2 mile warm up.

I don't feel I can go a lot faster than this on this course but prob get under 37.30 on a flatter run.
