Notes & Comments
The Humber Bridge Half Marathon is a sod of a race and if I'd have known about the hills beforehand I'd have stayed at home. I thought North Lincolnshire was as flat as a pancake but they lied. After 4 miles I was on for 1:48 as predicted and I got to half way in about 54:40. The second half was hideous and now I know why they call the hill after 9 miles 'Cardiac Hill'. The effects of my cold kicked in during the last three miles and I was mortified when I saw the 12 mile marker, thinking there was only about half a mile left. I'm knackered - that is a bloody awful race.
