Notes & Comments

great edinburgh run. the first 4k were a doddle and i was running strongly and well ahead of my 45 minute target time. that was until i hit holyrood park, when the gradient rose sharply and did so km after km after km hardly letting up until about 800m from the finish. the fun runners did not have much fun today on this tough route.i passed a lot of people about halfway up the hill on holyrood park who had started walking. this trend continued right up until the end of the race . still i didnt stop or walk finishing he race in 47 mins which was 2 mins beyond my target time which i think i would have achieved easily if the course was a bit flatter. roll on the great scottish half marathon in september.
