Lovely rolling and reasonably easy 8 mile trail route out from the Kentmere Valley. Park in one of the lay-bys by the factory (you may need to get there early!). Loads of birds and very few people. Nice view of the Kentmere church and the old Kentmere Hall.
There is a little out and back deviation at about 6.5 miles where we took the wrong path. At this point the correct route is through the (unwaymarked) gate into the woods.
