Blister OMG, that was the hardest race I have ever ran - VERY HOT, nearly collapsed after coming down the mountain, my legs just went to jelly and I started getting pins and needles in my calfs and arms. After running past at least 2 people that had collapsed on the side of the road I blew up and had to walk for about 3 or 4 minutes before I struggled to jog the last 3 miles back. Even though it was hard enough just getting to the finish I was annoyed at how badly I ran (I think 6 from last!). I think I would have ran about 10-15 minutes quicker if it wasn't hot, but underestimated how much up hill there was, I would say about the first 5 miles were uphill. Great to meat Marcus and wizlyn, you both ran excellent races. Apart from my nightmare leg it was a great weekend away and I would do it again but with a different leg.
