Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

ChrisW Cycled there (without a number) and thankfully they allowed me to join on the day.

The atmosphere / drinks and cakes that followed the event where fabulous. 2hrs of lounging on the cricket green as it got dark drinking with friends, and meeting some new ones.

funkin Ran in 27:03 last year. I hope to be a similar time this year. There's a bit of fun rivalry out there too so there's a risk of me burning out whilst chasing people down! If you've never done it before, treat it like a 5k then hang on for dear life till the end.

Mazza aka Fitso Amazing I managed to finish at all - really felt terrible as soon as I started to run.. Felt sick and had stomach cramps all the way round. Set off far too fast - in an ill-judged bid to get it over and done with quickly - and nearly had to give up at 3k. Struggled on and hit 5k in 22.30 but by that time I had jelly legs and thought I wasn't going to reach the end at all. Really slowed over the final 2k but managed to hang on in there. Enjoyed it once it was over.
What a great race though. Beautiful course, spoiled only by the amount of dog and deer poo. Clearly a race with a loyal following. Would do it again for sure.

The Outlaw Good start (3:30), close packing with Chris Brook, David Rowe, Trevor Maguire and Iain Wilson. At 5K passed Trevor, then Iain, and in final 500m, passed Chris Owens, to take 2nd V50 overall and 1st Ranelagh V50. Good run, excellent result - so much better than last Sunday! Note: race distance is just over 7K - 7.15.

Tiger Well done to the 2 brave souls who bet on me, you had more faith than I did! Surprised myself at the PB even with dodgy hamstring :) :)
