Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

GAZGIB Oh dear, I'm still a long way away from last years fitness levels. Was still in touch with 6 of my teamates at half way, but could only just about see 1 of them at the end.

Jonny Quite a challenging course. Struggled a bit between the mile 1 & 3 but then found a consistent pace for my current fitness level. Needed some proper X-Country shoes as traction through the mud became a problem especially on the uphill stretches. Didn't do my cough any good though as it has developed into another cold Measured at 5.94 miles on my Garmin.

Leg End Worked hard on an often squippery course. A bit too hard in fact, so that I had to ease off at about 4 miles to keep something for the finish. A good run though. 8:09 m/m. 1:20 slower than last year, but a slightly higher position (161/261).

Sid My first x country race and I struggled all the way...Should have done what I was told and waited until the new year before racing again as my knee is knackered again. I finished and that is something I thought I wouldn't acheive half way around the first lap. The course was just over 6 miles - the furthest I've run since October 2006. I'll be back next year, stronger, fitter and faster....but one year older (can't have it all). Great support from my team mates - a great club!

Waveydavey Almost didn't run as my left knee started hurting the day before on the cycle back from the Mad Stad, but it seemed fine when running. As it happens it was fine, it was my stamina that let me down and I started going backwards on the second big lap. 7 mins down on last year.
