McNewbie Team McNewbie has been assembled, me and 3 others :) Very excited about this!* POST RACE: PB'ed, woohoo!! Who the heck bet on me?? I wouldn't have! But it was great, very tough with the undulations, and the damn sun, it was awfully hot and in my face for quite a bit of the race. Nice atmosphere, could have done with more signs informing folk where the Tree-Athlon was starting. Good organisation, markers at every 500m (good!). Liked the t shirt enough to wear it for the race (lol). And a nice silver medal for a 5km! Really appropriate to receive a tree sapling in the goody bag! A variety of fruit, free water bottles at the end, great stuff. Great day out :)
