BigG New PB. Pretty pleased with the performance after the previous couple of months training went badly due to chest infection. Probably ran the first half too fast and lost quite a bit of time in the second half. Definite room for improvement. The race itself was quite nice, taking in a lot of Barcalona's sites. The organisation was pretty poor though. It got quite hot towards the end.

Foxy i started off slowly but after 3 KM upped the pace, it was a hot day but the course in general was well shaded. the cottom t-shirt was embroidered but a strange dirty white / grey colour & the medal was an unimaginative design. this was the first time i came across the line in my now trademark Airplane finish. i forgot my Ipod but at least I didn't throw my race number in the bin as Dave Ross did. pleased with my 3rd consecutive solo sub 3 hr 30 min marathon (i ran Florence with Babette & DW with Paul Watts). I ran in (almost) Wolves colours an Orange vest for MS (i was told they had a team & support in Barcelona - i didn't see anyone & my vest only arrived 10 mins before i was leaving to fly out !!) I raised just over £650 for them.

Nightjar 9425 points bet on me! Got a sub 4 hour under my belt at last, which was my primary target, but I couldn't hit the predicted time. Less heat - I reckon it was 25c - and more training would have stopped the legs falling off at 34k. Loved Barcelona, will go back and take the tourist bus next time. Thanks for all the messages of support.
