RFJ 1st time of doing this one, aim was to get under 2 hours on a testing hilly course. 1.75m warm up then off to the start ( plenty of our club there today as was the opening race for oor club champs) 1. 7:27 good start 2. 7:41 1st Hill 3. 7:27 Up and down and joined two club mates 4. 6:47 Guess what, down hill powered by 14 stone. 5. 7:21 On the flat and cruising nicely, wondering if I have gone off to fast. 6. 7:21 Maintaining pace, I like it 7. 7:26 Having a right ding dong with about 4-5 runner including 2 club mates. 8. 7:24 still jockeying for posistion and having a bit of a laugh.. 9. 8:07 Big hill, lose alot of places and feeling it 10. 6:55 What goes up... gained all my places back with interest, feeling really good as recover down the hill. 11. 7:36 closing in on another club mate (now left the other 2) but big hill coming up. 12. 8:09 Big hill again still closing should get him at top of hill and do so. 13. 7:14 Still feeling really good and now know its down hill all the way. 14. 6:59 Big down hill WEEEEEEEEEEE I like that at the end of a race, pick up a few more places 15. 7:07 at last nearly there (39 secs for the last little bit as well) Total finish time of 1:51:45 (Ave pace of 7:24) finished in 80th place So a new PB. (Also came 6th in the club and 2nd Senior man) Swindon Striders 1:47:31 1:51:45 2:00:00 1:51:45 60.72
