Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Ally2 Superb pleased with time and huge PB in glorious sunny windless conditions. Ran hard for first 3 miles up the hill and other side and then hung in. Got stitch at 4mile but came though to finish strongly. Splits: 1mile 5:26, 2mile :10:55, 3 mile 16:16 4mile missed marker and end. Came 7th.

Boycie I should certainly PB this after my effort at Weston in the howling wind. Would like to get under 28.57 to get onto our club's leaderboard for 5m, so this is my target time. Need to get the pacing right!!! UPDATE: 22nd! Great result - paced race well and finished strongly - more later!

clifford Woo hoo a PB, thought this was going to be tougher than it was....Took it steady up the by pass then went for it on any downhills. The hill work in training is really paying off. More than made up with my time. And the race was over run with Harriers!!! Well done the HH teams...Brilliant.

Brilliant race and a glorious day - temp perfect, started out at a more sensible pace with the first mile up in 6:23, then picked it up along the bypass and over the brow of the hill. Avg'd between 6:12 an 6:18 for the remaining 4 miles. The second hill was a bit of an

Racin Snail supposed to be a quick one and i was born and raised on these streets so looking forward to a massive p.b.
Well the evil cold cleared enough to make me think i would have a good one, very bouyant mood pre race as we did a 15 min warm up. Lined up a few rows back for a change, the plan being to keep a steady pace behind Boycie, but the arrival of a little incline soon made me realise this was out of the question. RB moved onto my shoulder so out came plan B:run round with the missus. Managed a 6:20 first mile which felt real hard but we pushed on up the hill, kept it going for another 2 miles then wed nights track session and the cold caught up with me and i had to let RB go. Steady next mile then out sprinted a guy from Barrow to the line. 64th place and 30:44 for a 2min plus p.b. Thanks for the bets as i think this is the only thing that kept me going:-)
Lump on again in 2 weeks though peeps as i'm going sub 30 for sure:-)(health permitting;-))

Rich963 Enjoyed it, but had forgotten how tough 5 miles is - especially when you go too quick for the first couple of miles and end up with a PW! Ran strongly up to the top of the hill up the dual carriageway, but really had nothing left towards the end. Splits were: 6.39 6.35 6.43 6.44 6.21 128th male (9th for club)

ThorntonRunner This is one of my weakest pb's at the moment. Might not quite get the 32:30, but will be devastated if I don't pb.
UPDATE: Very pleased with this. Paced it well - mile paces of 6:33, 6:38, 6:22, 6:21, 6:02. Good result and in line with getting that sub-40 10k time at Desford.
