The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
Is there a forum here that will give me help and advice on how to train for a first 100 mile run next year? I have run 18 marathons/ultras, with the furthest being 50 miles.
I want to soak up any and all help, even if it repeats stuff I know... or think I know!!
I ran my first 100 miler last weekend and will most likely get round to blogging tomorrow so look out for that (not sure how much help it will be but still!)
There is also the Ultras for Beginners thread and the Ultra Marathons thread both of which are very friendly and helpful with advice.
Looking at your race times you look a similar standard to me. As such time on your feet and working on durability would be the focus; they are everything. Getting round is absolutely core for me; DNF is not an option. There is a huge mental challenge and there will probably be a time when you really have had enough. Double days are good (long find on consecutive days. There's some chat on the various 100 threads just avoid stuff relating to 50 Mile fun runs and such like
