Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That sounds like great advice Stumpy, thanks for that :D

It does seem to be about core strength and posture for me too. Since I've been doing pilates, I've realised how badly I used to run!

Thanks for the advice about stepping back too, now to follow it ;)

Not run for six weeks due to periodic sharp pain in right glute and constant numb sensation to right big toe. Just had MRI results which show disc prolapse L4-L5 with a seperate fragment which is likely to be sequested causing compression of right L5 nerve root. Referred to specialist and continuing with stretching & none impact PT. Experience anyone?

I'm recovering from an extruded disc at c7/c6, so neck rather than lumber. It mashed the radial nerve in my right arm and, 2 months post initial injury, I still have a tiny bit of numbness in my fingers and a bit of odd neuropathic pain/sensation across my shoulder when I'm tired or having been watching my posture. I'm seeing a physiology and can't get on my bike for at least another month. He says it takes around 3 months to be symptom free

Good luck with your recovery.

Thanks Wobbling. All the best with your recovery too. It sounds like you are well on the way now.
