Couldn't leave unclaimed fetchpoint traffic lights on my driveway so fired up the Merlin app and went for a walk automatically went out of fp circle, but didn't actually cross any of the 14 (?) bugs *sighs* feel much better this morning, rhr back to normal (39) hrv still unbalanced, but lack of excercise and living on white carbs could well be doing that Merlin app recognised GSW chicks were making the noise I could hear, spotted the hole in the tree before I heard mum's alarm call and got out of the way Whitethroat and reed bunting were the calls I am unlikely to have recognised, confirmed-ish by sight though GSW Whitethroat reed bunting LTT Gt Tit blue tit wren robin skylark wood pigeon red kite jackdaw jay greenfinch not bad for a 2 mile loop of 'my' fields ![]() 1) 1mi - 16:39(16:39/mi) 91/103bpm [1516b/mi] 97cal 61/67rpm 2) 1mi - 17:30(17:30/mi) 96/108bpm [1680b/mi] 96cal 57/66rpm 3) 0.08mi - 1:20(16:34/mi) 100/102bpm [1657b/mi] 8cal 63/65rpm |

roughly an hour in roughly 20 minute chunks.
Hacked the jasmine back a bit more, deadheaded the poker and gave its leaves a haircut. Some more weeding. Sprayed wet and forget on the green bits of drive, whilst fiddling with the pump to make it work - (tub in car to do mum's slabs tomorrow) pulled weeds from between side wall and path swept cobwebs from shed and garage doors and fixed the outside light so it's not on all the time (now to see if the motion sensor puts it back on later) 10th Jun 2024, 4:32pm

Not exactly a long run, but reasonable time on feet
Full L50 kit in pack except for torch and a few little bits. walked most of the ups, run/walked the flats and jogged gently on the downs trying not to jar back or stress knees. aimed for new-to-me (I think) paths and kept not finding them - and those I did find were somewhat overgrown, so lots of 'power hiking' through long grass, pace depending on nettle density and depth of tractor tyre ruts. Would have liked to average sub 15mm, but heyho, not far off and it was the 'where am I'?' and squeeze through a gap in the hedge mile 8 that was the slowest.
