Oscar's Everyone Day

Sunday 23rd June 2024
In 2021 Oscar the Grouch proposed one day each year where "we unite as a community and EVERYONE records an activity of some sort - a dog walk, a run, a swim, a ride, ski if you want...".

Sadly we lost Oscar in March, so I'd like to dedicate Everyone Day to him. Thank you for the inspiration you gave us Oscar.

Karen T Disappointed with this time, was hoping for 1.30 or less, was hillier than I expected though, will try again next year Unaffiliated 1:23:09 1:26:04 1:30:00 1:35:05 55.39
Lapsed Athlete I underestimated the effect my having done a postie walk prior to running this would have, a hilly race that I didn't get into for a few miles and then found a couple of the steep bits really tough. On the plus side it is a PB and it does leave a lot of scope for an even better PB at my birthday run the Eccup 10. Unaffiliated 1:42:26 1:42:26 1:49:59 1:56:49 41.68

MudMeanderer Nice course, but not a great performance. Several times I got a stitch and my breathing really struggled, plus current lack of leg strength told on the climbs. Kirkstall Harriers 1:10:28 1:16:44 1:16:44 57.02
Phil-F Started well first 5 miles in 38 minutes, then tied up last 2-3 miles still recovering from illness Nidd Valley Road Runners 1:14:04 1:22:22 1:22:22 55.33

rf_fozzy Enjoyed this race again. Faster than last year and felt very comfortable and strong all the way round -even up Stainburn Bank. 48th place. Airienteers, North Leeds Fell Runners 1:03:45 1:07:10 1:07:16 65.04
Slider45 Found it very hard going. Remembered the hills from last year but found them even tougher this time around. Started off at a reasonable pace but never fully recovered after the first hill and was a good bit down on last year's time, let alone my target time. Valley Striders AC 56:54 59:55 1:01:27 71.47
