hadnt considered it hellen. maybe i should. i wont get GFA at Abo i'm fairly certain but want it in the spring. The only reason I picked Shakespeare was because the buildup races fit perfectly.

But if S is hot like it has been the last 2 years you are stuffed. I have now had my target marathon wrecked 3 times through hot weather. This year I had S and Ed as targets but both were hot.

Next year I am more focussing on a 50 miler in Switzerland in July so I will have a marathon PB crack in the spring some time but I dont expect to get much faster over the marathon whilst focusing on longer distances so if my target marathon is hot it wont be such a disaster.

I have my sub 4 and since GFA is a long way off it is not so vital! As long as I know I am improving then that is enough, I dont need to see a faster time on paper like I did for sub 4 and like I will need for GFA!!

My longer term plans are to hope that GFA will come in the Autumn next year as I really dont want to be going for it in Spring 2011 with the weather being so vital! So if a few mins come off at Abo then I improve by a few more mins up to the spring then a few more mins til Autumn and a stone lighter I might be there!!

If it's the 28th, it'll be a nice double with the South Devon mara on Saturday :-)

28th means it wil be the week before the Grantham canal double which I want to do. If it is the 28th then I would only do one day of the double.

Well technically I could do the Not For Nothing 50 and Draycote Water 35 back to back but I can't see it happening.

Got something to say?
