I've got a loose toenail a month after bruising it quite heavily, and a 3 day ultra starting Friday. Pull it off, or tape it in place and see what happens (retch, cough, choke etc)

retch, cough, choke indeed! (I'd either tape it up or cut off the flappy bit!) |

Trim it as short as you can then tape it. It'll fall off on it's own eventually, but if you rip it off you may damage the nail bed and make it grow back wonky

um
trim and tape - or just suggesting - see if local GP (or BUPA style place) will assist with a rapid removal? I wouldn't go to Dr V'rap - the posts she's done today, that biting may hurt. (but do ask for a home visit, just for the fun of it)

Thanks folks, I'll trim it when I get home from hols tomorrow. Don't fancy an open wound for three days of running, if at all possible
