Yep, we are OK for next year with the GFA deferral, and we don't even need to re-run the time within the qualification window.

From 2019 though if you happened to get in with the 3:14 time under regular GFA application for that year, then deferred, you would still get a place for 2020 even if the quota cut off for your age group meant that new applications were stopped at 3:13 for example. Assuming that your 3:14 time was still within the qualification period for 2020.

That's what they say today - but who knows what rules they might change next year :-(

I deferred my ballot place due to injury. If I hadn't bee able to defer, I would have run anyway and hobbled round...

That's what I'm doing MN. 2 months off with a calf tear. Have plodded a few miles in last 3 or 4 weeks and that's it! I shall hobble round as best I can. :-) G

It's unusual for them to have already declared what the qualification period is for 2020 this year. Whilst they might change the times in 2019 for the 2020 event, it's doubtful as the 2020 dates are already set.
