The latest email to entrants of this race came out yesterday and contained a request for help... in return for free entry for next years race!

100 days to go! (actually it's 99 days now ;) )
There are now 100 days to go until the inaugural Stour Valley Path 100km ultra run. We are very excited about the event and we have seen plenty of interest, with over 60 runners currently signed (a full list can be found on our website). Many competitors are incredibly experienced endurance athletes, whilst we also have a large number of people participating in their first ever ultra marathon. As such, we hope that some of the more experienced competitors will offer encouragement and share words of wisdom with the first timers throughout the day, so that we see as many finishers as possible.
Check-point crews / volunteers
We are very keen to find volunteers to help us out on the day of the race. This may involve anything from registering competitors at the start of the race, driving a van, setting up and manning a checkpoint, to providing basic first aid cover (should you have the necessary first aid experience). In particular, we would be very happy if members of local running clubs would like to get involved. The SVP100 route start from and passes through a number of towns with established clubs, and we already have a number of runners registered from some of these clubs.

All volunteers offering approximately 8+ hours or more of their time on the day of the race will receive an event t-shirt, the option of free entry into the 2014 event, plus a small budget for food and drink throughout the day.

If you know of someone who would like to volunteer, or would like to pass on details of the race to your local running club, we would be very grateful. Potential volunteers can contact us directly on our email address: info@svp100.co.uk

We would be particularly interested in hearing from qualified first aiders, people with experience of managing water / food stations, or those with the skills / experience to drive a minibus / people carrier.

Can anyone help...

Svp100
We had a great response to our initial request for volunteers. However, we are still very keen to find some additional volunteers to help ensure everything runs smoothly on race day.
