Mrathon training newbie - which plan?!

GFA is only relevant if you're interested in doing London (aka "the marathon"). After experiencing it this year, I'm in no rush to head back. It's a tremendously overrated event. I will do it again, if only to extinguish memories of being ill for the final 5mi, but even when I was running strongly in the first half, I didn't enjoy it. Far too many people for the course and far too many idiots weaving about. Plus London is always within a week (at best-often in same wkend) of the 3 Peaks Race, and that's much more enjoyable. |
