I like that. I have definitely slowed right down in this cycle and that's partly due to introducing bigger hills. My 20 was 10.20 on Saturday but even my flat 10 today was 9.40 average, started at 10.30 and finished with 8.40ish. All so that I can run intervals reasonably fresh tomorrow. So I guess I am endorsing your approach :-)

...and I enjoy it! I’m never faced with a run that I don’t fancy or that seems out of my range.

I’ll do a 5K time trial and a raced half a couple of weeks before London and those will tell me what shape I’m in and what mara time is possible for me.
