JeffP Fairly enjoyable run. Surprisingly good conditions underfoot for most of the course. However, a couple of very muddy bits which really disrupted by rhythm. Trafford AC 44:46 74.76

Ally2 Notts ac hosted and local park race. Hope to improve on 27th last year and 5th team. So
Silver team medal and 25th. Pleased. Went out very hard- in top 15 as we approached house on first lap, alongside andy ward. Exchanged places as runners found their feet on the first lap and was in approx 16th place on start of 2nd lap. A flying torry and pepper took me, and a few others. On last lap I was really digging in. I kept focusing on lilly who never really got away and bailey, who took me on the start of lap 3 was also slowing. If I maintained their pace, i was sure I could beat my 27th place from last year. A few more took me. like draper and my club mate pete stormed by in the mud section. A small bedford runner, bergin, took me aswell and I thought help. However up the hill I dug in, Bergin, died horribly down the finish hill and although Gilby and Rush on the line took me, I had held off a throng of runners behind me. I think 100m further on I would have been out of the top 30. I guess I raced the course well. Pleased. The depth of the field was higher than last year and the course was fast.
