hellen surprised myself on this by getting a pb despite having a cold and nearly not doing it.
very hard work with all the hills and had to walk down one towards the end as my knee was bad.
all my training since the last HM in sept obviously paid off! 100 Marathon Club, Barrow Runners 1:30:28 1:54:37 1:54:37 56.63

Johnny Oh deary me. What a miserable race. I suppose I should have expected it. With fighting a cold off and a re-occuring knee problem. The course was challenging and the weather played a part. Generally other runners were very suportive and the officials gave lots of shouts of encouragement. Unaffiliated 1:54:11 1:54:11 1:45:00 2:08:38 45.12
Rich963 Quite pleased with the time - have just completed my longest running week to date, so wasn't expecting too much. Beat my last year's time so, although not a pb, was pretty good. Good atmosphere as usual, even in the freezing conditions! Stilton Striders RC 1:28:39 1:29:51 1:30:00 1:32:20 62.79

Sidman Cold, blustery and wet start but turned out to be a pleasant run. Took 30 seconds to get over the start and the first mile took 9.5 minutes. After that settled down to 8 minute miling and felt pretty strong until about mile 11 when my legs began to feel tired and I fell behind a couple who of people who had been pushing me along quite nicely. My slowest half marathon ever but I'm still quite pleased given the undulating course, the wind and my less than perfect preparation due to colds and general lethargy! Morevover I beat Tim by 50 seconds! Unaffiliated 1:42:52 1:47:29 1:47:00 1:47:29 56.51
SPKoF I paced a clubmate for the first 7 miles then they retired so this was basically a 7 mile warm up followed by a 10km race - hence the slower than normal time.

Very very cold and windy. nice towel as a momento - better than yet another shirt + free hot soup at the end. Long Eaton Running Club 1:24:16 1:34:19 1:43:17 56.20
