paskha If you want a PB - then choose a course like this - you can't get any flatter!! And loads of other runners to keep your pace going - and to wave to on the out & back sections .... on the other hand though, you go all this way, run round some flat roads and it's all over in a flash!! The real challenge is to get fast on the tougher courses which are more scenic and / or multi-terrain, like AN RESEK HELLYS (The Race of Helston) which is a LOVELY course.
This was the second year I'd been running and I lost some weight as I was cycling to work, running round being a Care worker, cycling home. I soon discovered how much fitter you could get by Cross-Training - and I heard about Bob Brown who had done the Deca-Ironman in 8 days and wrote to him and got his book. Even he couldn't swim once - so just shows anything is possible. I was training for the Ballbuster Boxhill Duathlon - so this is the Fastest I've run 10 miles - except this is the OFFICIAL time - there was no timing chip - IT TOOK 1 min 26 secs to get to the START, so actual PB is 1:24:58 (and second 5-mile split was 42:05!!) Mounts Bay Harriers 1:26:24 1:26:24 1:29:59 1:26:24 62.78
