paskha MY FIRST MARATHON - This was the last year of the tough single loop course from the Penventon Hotel, Redruth. It was also the first really hot day of the year!! Over a quarter of the field finished over 5 hrs, and this was back in the days when the race only had 60 entries max, and most were men doing 4hrs or less. This year 1999, there were only 5 ladies, so I clinched a 3rd spot and a bottle of rose bubbly in my first mara! Mounts Bay Harriers 4:28:24 5:05:37 4:59:00 5:05:37 48.21
