Boab Piss poor run from me. Had some breathing problems at 5k, lost breathing and had to slow down. Still feel like I have the legs and not the lungs. Shambles at start due to parking problems. Basically the car park had miles of queues and the buses that took runners to start from car park were stuck in queues too. Race 30 mins late, I had already stuck clothes in bag and handed them over to baggage area. So wet and cold for 30 mins extra than wanted to be. Course is flat, if no wind there is good potential for a PB. Bit windy today so times are slowed. Started well but by 3k I knew I was in trouble. Breathing wasn't right and the dry cough I have was tickling my throat. Odd experience at 5k where suddenly really short of breath, lost a lot of ground on 3rd spot in about 10 seconds. Thought I might need to stop. Breathing returned to race normal but still legs wanted to go faster. Getting a bit fed up with it now, just want to be bug free!!!! Unaffiliated 32:25 33:38 34:48 78.73

Obigone Slightly disappointed with my time! i wanted nearer 40mins, but given the headwind at the end not too shabby to be only 7secs off a pb! Really should have gone faster on the outward 5k when there was a following wind! Loved the samba drum band, Elvis could do with a bigger jump suit! Roll on next year! WOOF! R4R Definitely won't be a PB for me - in fact will probably be a PW - but just happy to be running. Last 10k was 3 years ago in Ormskirk. Since then lots of ups and downs, including heart surgery in September, so will be happy to break the hour, but won't be busting a gut.
